In dry weather our amphibians have great difficulty staying hydrated. They seek shade and damp places. Sometimes there is one hiding in the hollow parts of a window. It's like they're in the house when they croak.
Or like this one, who had found shaded comfort in the pipes of the fountain... Until we turned it back on.
