À PROPOS

'Welcome to L'Annicha!

We welcome you to our home in the picturesque Quercy region of France, where you will get away from the hectic day-to-day and relax in a serene and authentic setting. At L'Annicha we not only aim to offer you a great place to come back to after a busy day of exploring, but also to create a homely environment favourable for rest, reflection and self-care.

L'Annicha is located on 4,5 hectares of rolling countryside spanning the main house, barn house, gardens, the 25 meter lap pool and the sports and meditation room. The estate also has a vegetable garden, grassland and a little oak-tree forest; all accessible during your stay with us. Roam around as much as you like. There are benches spread over the property, for you to enjoy the scenery.

Bed and breakfast facilities, gites (cottage; self-contained apartments) are available. No escape is complete without good food. Upon reservation we provide home cooked Western and South-East Asian meals prepared as much as possible with locally sourced and bio produce.

Retreats

The premises are perfect for organising a group retreat or residential seminar, and can therefore be rented out as a whole. Please contact us for more information.

Your hosts

We are Tracy (Singaporean), Dirk (Belgian), Roxy en Tristan (our dogs)

and Tix, Princess, Hardy, Fynn and Tom (our cats).

After international careers (Tracy as a nurse and Dirk as  projectmanager) we sought a change in lifestyle that took us all the way from bustling Singapore to the quiet South-West of France.

We speak English, French, Dutch, German, Italian, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese.

The meaning of "L'Annicha"

'"Anicca" is the Pali-word for impermanence, the constance of change. We interpret it as "being patient" or as "new beginnings", which is what we were looking for as we set out to change our lifestyle.

We hope L'Annicha provides you an environment to facilitate a change for the better.

ACTIVITÉS

ACTIVITIES

Rest & Relax

Enjoy this unusual place, far from the beaten tracks. Take time off your busy life and come to rest. Enjoy our garden, read a book or roam around our property.

Once a week we organise a meditation session which you can join.

We also propose Qi Gong introductory lessons as well mindfulness sessions.

Cultural visits

Our medieval village is protected from an architectural point of view. It also contains the famous "Collegiale" with a 15th century tapestry.

Within one hour drive there are two UNESCO world heritage sites (the Albi Cathedral and the Moissac Abbaciale) and many other worth visiting cities and places, like Cahors, Montauban or Lauzerte.

Sports

The neighbourhood has splendid hiking and biking tracks providing incredible views over the surrounding hills. Golf courses are within driving distance. The more adventurous can go kayaking, climbing, spelunking, flying ULM or karting. Our meadow has been used as learning slope for paragliding and flying sites are available in the vicinity.

Wine tasting

We are located in the Quercy region with its own appellation, and we are part of the "Vignobles et Découvertes" network. Neighbouring Cahors and Gaillac regions are better known. All of them have wineries which organise regular wine tastings.

Gastronomy

A couple of kilometres away is the local capital of the truffle Lalbenque. Several wineries also include top restaurants.  And of course we can advice you with our local favorites.

Markets

Every day has its market: whether you are looking for local produce, local specialties to take home or a souvenir, you will find a nice atmosphere roaming the markets in the region.
